Aza Nedhari, DHS, CPM, LPC

Dr. Aza Nedhari is a mother, a visionary leader, an architect of change, and a relentless advocate for justice with more than two decades of experience in community health and program innovation. As President & CEO and Co-Founder of Mamatoto Village, a DC-based perinatal health organization, she has dedicated her career to improving maternal health outcomes, strengthening families, and building community-driven care models that are proven and replicable.

A Certified Professional Midwife and Licensed Professional Counselor, Dr. Nedhari brings rare clinical depth and lived experience to executive leadership. Her work spans direct perinatal care, the design of scalable community health interventions, health technology, and perinatal workforce development. She holds a Doctorate in Human Services with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and Management, and her research examines the sustainability and resiliency of Black-led social change organizations. She is a sought-after speaker, strategist, and thought leader.
