I broke the glass ceiling - and nearly bled to death

Saturday Keynote

DATE: Saturday, October 14th
TIME: 9:00 am - 10:00 am
FACULTY: Dr. Amber Price, CEO, DNP, CNM, RN

In her AABC Keynote Presentation, Dr. Amber Price will challenge traditional leadership concepts that are taught as ‘best practice’ - because they often don’t apply to women, and there is no “best practice.” By exploring the reality that women are expected to lead in the way that men do while being held to a higher standard, Dr. Price will examine the data for female executive leaders, review basic leadership and change-leadership principles, and highlight the issues that women face in leadership roles - especially those leading to burnout. An in-depth discussion will center around Equity, the reasons it’s so challenging to ‘move up,’ and critical things to be aware of - ultimately guiding women to a different leadership focus that inspires them to stop conforming and start leading innovatively by tapping into their personal strengths.
